Turners Cartoon Network - Brand Licensing Europe
Turner Broadcasting (a Time Warner Company) creates and programmes branded news; entertainment; animation and young adult; and sports media environments on television and other platforms for consumers around the world. White Space was commissioned to design and deliver a dynamic and eye catching stand at Brand Licensing Europe, on behalf of the world renowned Cartoon Network division. This example further illustrates how the creative use of technology combined with more traditional methods can deliver a high impact visual statement; and one that will stand out from the crowd. Consisting of an illuminated blast of colour and imagery, it incorporated a reception and large meeting area, supported by high visibility graphics and audio visual backdrop.
Emblazoned with a range of globally recognised images from the world of children’s entertainment, which could be viewed from within and external to the stand, its centre piece was a 4m x 6m seamless plasma wall made up of 25 individual screens. Illumination was provided with theatre style lighting; both static and mobile. The main structure incorporated a raised platform floor with clear glass divisions adding to the experience of light and space. Although a contained and controlled area, the choice of colours, lighting and materials promoted a more open experience whilst achieving the discretionary environment required by the client. Aimed at specific client engagement, its open plan design catered for no less than 12 meeting areas. Interactive technology installations consisted of securely mounted iPads located at each corner of the stand, both internal and external to the structure, providing discreet yet informal viewing stations. Storage for promotional materials was provided in the form of practical display units.
